I just have to post these in here as a mere point reference for some of y’all. This is a DS ‘88 OG pair by the way. Wonder what kind of field day of complaints some of y’all would have with these.
I’m glad you posted this because in all seriousness, rn in 2026 we are consistently getting better craftsmanship across the board. Craftsmanship NOT quality. I remember getting og 12s etc back in the day with all kinds of craftsmanship issues but the shape and quality was always there. Ogs had some duds just like today only they were made with supple materials and were actually performance/comfort based. These new pairs may look and feel like bricks now but manufacturing is a bit more together. It’s a give and take.

I see I'm not the only one with randomly thick or thin elephant print lines on the same damn shoe. Was there this problem with the 2016 version? I might just return this **** and cop the 2016 since I prefer the darker lines. At least Nike had some consistency back then!

1) 2026 is superior as far as build, shape, and materials.
2) 2016 pair is 10 years old at this point. Not much time left on em.

As much as some of y’all clowning the measurements meme, a lot of that criticism is what got JB to wake up and do better with their retros….but we’re still a ways away.
