AIR JORDAN 4 Black/Cement/Grey BLACK FRIDAY via COUNTERKICKS 03/08/12

True!
5s and 8s are heavy shoes. Seriously hard to wear em outside for a couple hours if the weather is above 64 degrees much less play any professional sport in them. VIs just dont move with your feet. Something about that sole limits how the shoe can bend.

I know it's a matter of opinion but my Cav IV's are very comfortable. I never liked IV's until I wore those. Its the reason I bout other pairs afterward.

I have always found nubuck/durabuck/suede shoes to be more comfortable. Still wouldnt put any Jordan IV in a top 20 list of comfortable shoes or silhouettes for that matter. I'm not sure if I could put them in my top 30 tbh

Longest I've wore mine was about 3-4 hours, and I couldn't wait to put on a pair of New Balances. Haha. Still love the shoe though.

And who knows how Jordan played in a lot of his shoes, let alone just the IVs.

oh thank god, I thought I was the only one, haha, the WC4's hurt like a B*&^%

So true but we want "real" leather.

But you know that Durabuck is not real leather as well, unlike Suede or Nubuck!
But the Black/Cement IV should be made of Durabuck to keep it original touch.
When they can use Durabuck on the Playoff VIIs, why they cannot do it with this one?
Instead we get the same ashy suede like the 2011 Black/silver Vs.

I was just joking about the "real leather" comment lol. That's why I emphasized it in quotations but I see it flew right over some peoples heads

. Actually people have already stated that the shoes aren't suede their nubuck.

Post-99, no.  The re-retros and re-re-retros of the IV aren't indicative of the comfort that the silo was once known for though.

I sometimes forget what comfort feels like until I decide to slip on my 99's. Definitely a big difference from the newer retro 4's.

Most of the padding is missing in retro IV's, especially in the tongue, causing your foot to rub against all the seems and folds of the upper

:x
Say what you want they were just as bad. Blind fanboys will be blind. Also as for the tongue it is not the padding that is the problem They are stitched to have a standing tongue even when they are not worn. The angle it is stitched at is irritating in the front where the ankle meets the foot

Yea, I guess Im referring more to the base of the tongue, under the laces. But maybe thats just my foot shape. I feel like there's less padding down on top of the ball of my foot area. the lack of padding on the top of the tongue, and the angle, for me is more an esthetic problem

IDK what you are talking about. Shapes dont start getting funny till size 13 imo.
For most models GS sizes look better. Thankfully not the IVs, but GS IIIs, VIs, VIIs, Xs, XIs, and XIIs look leagues better than an adult size shoe
I'm very impressed with my pair! They finally came today.
1000
That settles it.
Two pair minimum

13 + definitely gets crazy.
But Im speaking specifically about the old banana toe
For me I fit somewhere in between a 10 and 10.5. But I feel like the banana toe would get worse each size up you go
10 better than 11 better than 13

EDIT: Also this is not me soliciting a sale or trade. I dont do that on this site. Only through a Chicagoland facebook group

^I agree. I hate all recent VIs because of it. I passed on all but the Olys that just came out and regret with a passion getting those. I guess I was just thirsthin for that colorway. The blue is too dark, the toebox makes the shoe look like boots you would see a male stripper wear in a parody porn, the icy blues browned up fast (even if you didnt wear em), and they were a full size down. There is not a single good thing I can say about that shoe.

A true size 11.5 in all 2010 and 2012 VI retroes look like **** and it is because of the toebox. IDK how much I can sell a slightly used pair for because I truly want to get rid of them. Only thing wrong with them is the midsole on the heel and toe arent pure white from me wearing em a few times and the sole is already browning.

But I just have this thing where I can't sell something unless it is a good deal for me. :/ Hopefully I find someone who is thirsthin for them and I can arrange a trade where I will give him shoes and maybe some money on top for something he has that I want
