I think the main issue with AJ 1 mids is the poor quality relative to their retail price. Same thing with GR dunks, etc. so people gravitate to New Balance, etc. with better quality and comfort at those respective retail pricepoints.I think it's a trickle down effect.
People missing out also causes people to want a similar sneaker. With social media everyone wants to fit in.
That's why you have a bunch of people wearing wack New Balance and Asics just to fit in with other people. I see people wearing the Air Monarch New Balance equivalent, because a New Balance is a New Balance to them. They do that with mid Jordan 1's and why they always keep mids on the shelves and the team Jordans like Dub Zeros which have similar looks to a 13 or 11.
Most people aren’t like us-they probably just walk into sneaker stores and see what is on the shelf when making these decisions tbh
