I think it's a trickle down effect.

People missing out also causes people to want a similar sneaker. With social media everyone wants to fit in.

That's why you have a bunch of people wearing wack New Balance and Asics just to fit in with other people. I see people wearing the Air Monarch New Balance equivalent, because a New Balance is a New Balance to them. They do that with mid Jordan 1's and why they always keep mids on the shelves and the team Jordans like Dub Zeros which have similar looks to a 13 or 11.

I think the main issue with AJ 1 mids is the poor quality relative to their retail price. Same thing with GR dunks, etc. so people gravitate to New Balance, etc. with better quality and comfort at those respective retail pricepoints.

Most people aren’t like us-they probably just walk into sneaker stores and see what is on the shelf when making these decisions tbh

I’d rather have forgotten 90s basketball, runners, and cross trainers than Yeezys. To be honest, I’d rather have nothing, and no Yeezys. I was never a fan. Yeezy 2s are aite, just think the spines or whatever you want to call it on the heel is ugly.

I think the one line of shoes that are completely off the table is Air Yeezys.

I can’t imagine a world where Nike releases these again. I think when Ye dies, Adidas might try and push Waves and 350s under some “Crazy One” type release like they did with the Adidas Kobe line but I just can’t see Nike doing this.

Nobody cares about the price, because they're looked down by the sneaker community because they're mids and because they have jumpmans.

Plenty of mids have decent quality, just like plenty of New Balance don't have good quality.

Different shoes for different occasions. I LOVE the DESIGN of Jordan’s but I work on my feet a lot. Better believe I’m not giving lectures on my feet 4 hours a day in Jordan 4s pinching my pinky toe.

990 V3s and V6s be holding me down. That’s all I travel in too. My favorite pair of shoes to do life in are my Teddy Santis 990 V3s… comfortable WORKHORSE shoes that I don’t have to be precious with, and they don’t look like creased up *** after 10 wears. Might wear Jordans to work once a month, and to flex on kids, and even then I gotta plan it out lol

I’m sure that’s what hooked a lot of these kids too after a decade of killing their feet in Jordan 1s and plastic Dunk lows

Unfortunately a lot of people can only afford 1 pair of sneakers at a time. Esp true with kids getting sneakers annually when going back to school (honestly speaking from experience here).
