Is the material on the frenchies supposed to be smooth or "crinkly" looking?

I just got my frenchies, and I thought the material was supposed to be smooth like the other 7s or the olympics..

Nope its not suppose to be smooth... Its the "Crinkled" type

If you're talking about these, the material was tumbled leather. The Olympic 7's (2004) had the smooth shiny leather.
