What are the technologies in each AJ model(1-14)?
Example :
AJVII - Zoom Air
AJIX - Nike Air
AJII - Nike Air

IMO Zoom Air Is The Best.

Air Jordans I-II Nike Air (encapsulated)

Air Jordans III-VI Visible Air

Air Jordans VII-XI and the first 3 colors of the XII's have Nike Air or encapsulated Nike Air.

Air Jordans XII (Black/Red and Black/White OG's) had Zoom air supposedly. Atleast that was the excuse for the $5 price hike when they first released.

Air Jordans XIII-XV Feature Zoom Air

Air Jordans XVI Visible Air

Air Jordan XVII Supposedly Tuned Air

Air Jordan XVIII Double Zoom

Air Jordan XIX Zoom Air

Air Jordan XX Independent Podular Suspension (IPS)

Air Jordans XX1-XX2 Tunable Independent Podular Suspension (IPS)

Air Jordan XX3 Zoom Air and IPS

Air Jordan 2009 Articulated Propulsion Technology (APT) and zoom Air in the forefoot

Air Jordan 2010 Zoom Air

This dude....lol. Although I'm positive that not all the original colorways of the XII's had Zoom Air. I believe it was only the last 2 colorways released (black/reds and black/whites). I remember the price jumping from $135 to $140 and that was the reason behind it.

we all know JB is a BIGGG moron. but when you make a retro of a shoe you dont change the technology in the shoe. isnt that what help makes the shoe? JB might change the color, materials etc. But i dont think they would change the technology. they SHOULD know better then that. I work at finishline and we had a meeting with a Nike representative and she said AJVII was the 1st jordan model to have Zoom Air instead of Nike Air, thats why its so lightweight. So if the OG had Zoom Air; the Retros will have Zoom Air inside the midsole. Not a Nike Air.

Your Nike Rep doesn't know what she's talking about. Zoom Air technically wasn't even introduced until 1995. The VII's came out in 1992. They used an encapsulated Air unit. The reason why it's so light is due to a couple reasons. One, there's practically NO ankle support. And two, it utilizes Huaracche technology. That inner booty neoprene material...

Those shoes were the softest (and one of the ugliest) on the feet

First ones with heel and forefoot were IIIs. The 9s had forefoot tensile air which is the precursor to zoom. Not sure about the vii's. Back in the day jordans used to come with a little pamphlet that had a visual breakdown of the shoe from the upper insole air units and outsole. The 12s had full length zoom. But zoom air from 1997 is not the same as now
