Air Jordan V retro OG - Nike Air - Fire Red/Silver tongue - May 2, 2020

Sold mine off. I had 2 pairs and wore the first a good amount and the second pair was worn like 3-4 times and just sitting there. These were pretty solid though it's my least fav too. The thin about them is that the tongue is from that OD era, the toe rand was shorter than it should be, and the toebox is longer than it should be.

I feel like the next time we see the Fire Red's and Metallics, they'll be retros of his PE pairs. I hope so at least, personally.

Oh absolutely not. Even so, I'm still (mostly) content with what we're getting compared to that 2011-2019 run of 5s, however I won't lie and say that the current cut and shape is perfect. The day JB manages to (almost) perfectly nail the slimmer collars, that beautiful aerodynamic slant, etc, will be the day I buy a couple pairs of each OG 5 colorway and never buy another again for a long while.

I say "almost perfect" cause it'll never be 1:1, especially when it comes to minor details like using white nubuck/nikebuck for the collars on the Grapes to match the OG using Durabuck on the collar and leather for the rest of the upper. If they can just get the shape better and don't use ashy nubuck on the next round of Metallics, I'll be fine.

Give us a re-tooled version with proper tongue, toebox, etc.

Wore my 2020 pair a few times when it released and didn’t wear it again until 2 months ago. Just might be the best colorway outta all the OG colors
