I was in Seoul last weekend and happened to stroll into a Nike Sportswear shop and saw these guys. I saw another thread about Vac Tech 97s for spring 2012, but these look different and are out now. When I first saw them, I didn't know what to think. I personally don't like vac tech being sprayed on every retro Nike can get their hands on, but this might just work if they release a silver cw. Emphasis on might. These black ones aren't too bad though. I was wondering if anyone had any additional info on the AM97 VTs?

I have to see them in person, the black look ok.

They released a lot of awful 97 colorways

These are sick, been waiting on these for a while. Too bad the comfort of the bubble aint what it used to be. Now, 97's are like walking on old lumpy cardboard, kinda squishy in some areas, but hard as a rock in others.

Whats the VT material like on these? the kinda look like foams. Are they softer than that?

Those are nice.

It looks like a very soft foams, Was interested in them too but i don't think they would make a good everyday shoe. Looks like it will get messed up easy.

They are definitely not foam. I remember checking that first because it almost looked like foams. They are leather. You can kinda see small little creases between the waves. It's not too soft either. I just want to know if they are going to make a silver one.

I suspect that VT leather will lead to insane creasing, followed by possible cracking?

I'm not up on Nike's tech here but does anyone wear their pair of VTs (any model) & can shed some light on that?

It seems like Nike threw some leather in a mold/form & added heat to make them but it looks slick

This is how Nike needs to update sneakers as opposed to trying questionable hybrids (like the Shox R4 and Air Max LTD mashup).

Like it was said above, I think that some people could have a problem with these creasing.
