A lot of Sneakerheads and Ballers have called forth for a revival of the Air Pippen 2, the most stylish and functional model of the Air Pippen line. Well, I am certainly looking forward to a retro of this fabulous looking Kicks...

This shoe definitely needs to get the retro treatment again but knowing NSW they’ll prob give us a cream colored suede version



Let me make it simple for NSW if they’re paying attention. Just give us these and don’t get cute with the materials. Hell! you can make any one of the 3 limited just to build hype and go from there.

OP posts wanting a return of the 2 because of how "stylish" they are, yet posts literally the 6 worst colorways ever offered in this model, lmao.

These and the 4 are my favorite Pippen models. The OG black/white pair is a personal grail of mine. Can't believe how many times the 1 has been released and we still don't have a proper retro of the 2-4. I doubt the 5 will ever be re-released.

I'd grab the white/red OG colorway, no doubt. This was a shoe that I picked up in the stores over and over again back in college but just never pulled the trigger on. Have always regretted it. The Pippen 1 black/red is still my favorite Pip shoe, but these aren't far behind.

They did.
OP posted a few colorways of the retro.
They also created some crazy hybrid of these with "AIR" coming down the sides and heel air max.
I think I have a pair somewhere in storage that I picked up at the outlet for like $30.

Completely disagree.
These wont fly off the shelves but if done accurately (which I doubt) and released in smaller numbers at a consumer friendly price point (sub $100) then I can definitely see these moving.

I like them because they are a sleek, relatively plain shoe that has that cool midsole as the main design cue that draws your eyes to it. Just a clean shoe.

Nike needs to do the playoff 2s with the original specs and materials. One of my favorite Nike shoes ever. It was such a simple yet clean shoe. The jeweled swoosh was beautiful.

Nike really needs to cut the crap and start retroing shoes with the og specs and materials. People have no problem paying for it. They also need to stop with these whack colorways.

Side note, I'd def buy the Pippen 5s if they retroed to OG specs.

You have the 2008 or 2015? The blk/red pippen 1 is one of my favorite all time shoes ever.

The 2008. I had two pairs but sold the DS one five years ago because I almost never even wear the first pair because they are like cinder blocks. Skipped the 2015 as they seemed to be built identically to the 08s. I love how that shoe looks but the retros are garbage to wear. And I’m not usually that picky about it, either

I clearly remember holding them in a Footlocker, thinking, these are amazing but this price is outrageous. But they had a huge full-length air bag. Had to be better than the retros, at least somewhat.

Ha. Spending that much on them was like at least half of my weekly pay on my summer job. Couldn’t do it. I worked summers and saved it all for the upcoming school year. I still have to believe they were somewhat better than the retros but yeah, I’m speculating.

I would agree, I'd have to believe the originals were comfier. I really wish Nike would give us exact retros that much up to original specs, right down to the larger air bubbles. I mean, it's not like Nike is charging less for the retros. It's either the same amount or more. Having said that, I think they did a solid on the Pippen 1. Nightwing from weartesters said they even made the 2015 better than the 2008, which is rare for Nike these days...
