Air Randy, VMV, etc - vol - why didn't anyone listen to the advice of NTers?

Just curious...
I went on record... MANY TIMES... warning everyone to stay away from VMV and AirRandy.

The older heads and experienced once on here seemed to agree and make comments to advice others as well.

So why in the world did everyone still proceed to purchase from them despite all the warnings from fellow NTers?

My conclusion:

1)  They didn't care, and assumed that a $300 pre-sale shoe could not be fake given the price

2)  They don't read posts and just look for pics when looking through threads

3)  AirRandy and VMV have phantom NT accounts to promote their shoes and website

Not sure which one it is, but does anyone else feel me on this one?  Was I the only one that would look through the threads thinking 'what the hell is going on here?  do these people not know what they are purchasing?'

not at all... my biggest beef this entire time was the fact that these websites were not being CLEARLY STATED as fraud by the NT community...

if you can't rely on NT for shoe info, then we are not the strongest sneaker forum on the net...

NT has blessed me over the years with so much knowledge and information that I cannot understand how it has been slipping through the cracks as of late

Let people do what they want with their money.

Is it even confirmed that they are not legit? Seems like its all speculation.

I only buy on release day bc I hate waiting for anything to be shipped so I dont pay any mind really to those sites that get their stuff early

ok ok I feel you then. so to actually chime in and add a response to what you asked, it might be because these were once trusted sites before and never had any real problems like this. and/or possibly because fakes are being made much better these days than before, which might mean it's cheaper for these sites to buy them in bulk than authentic products. ORRR a lot of the people that went ahead and still preordered from these guys are the "new generation" of sneakerheads and just refused to listen (ya I only have 86 posts and am in the new generation too but I know my stuff and ain't no fool haha).

I don't think OP was saying he was mad or annoyed at people for doing that with their money. I think he's saying why did people still buy from these sites even with everyone saying not to and then come on here and start freaking out and complaining like they weren't warned.

I esculated to a claim, been 3 days now. Dont think Jay is going to respond and let the 10 days roll out then theyll rule in my favor. He doesnt seem interested in responding to emails, twitter @s, twitter DMs. Lesson learned. Unfortunately, I placed my order before the fountain of information came pouring in.

Ding ding ding. I also think a lot of dudes have a desire to be first, and they'll do this by any means necessary. But what I don't understand is copping them this early to only put them on "ice" and not wear them.

Hope you're wrong about Jay.  I really do.

As for VMV, and AR.  Never purchased from them before....ever.

So what's the go?

I had a mate who copped the 'promo' J IV from AR and they arrived day before yesterday.

No problems with payment or delivery, i'm not even going into legitness as ive seen no comparison by an expert IV head, and i haven't seen them myself.

He's bringing them and his 99s to show me for comparison in a couple of days.

I think its more that people want to see for themselves. You can't tell people to be careful from your past experience, but most of these people are thinking "that won't happen to me."

double ding! copping them early and paying extra $100 just so they can switch them on RD which really means they lost a $100 just to tell peeps they had it early/first.

It was the unexpected volume of Concord orders x Nike Factory inspection x angry NikeTalkers = !!$#!@! mess
The rest of the shoes noone cared about lol

You had dudes that didnt care dropping double months before chatting with dudes that want to pay retail on drop day conversing which created

dudes that all of a sudden started LOOKING at what came in the mail vs posting them from 10ft away goin, BRO LOOK WHAT I COPPED BRO.....

I call it the Okie Dokey lol

i think because many were just blinded by their obsession to get their pairs asap.
Though it must be clear that Nike/JB etc. never ships out their products

so many months before release date. Why? because no retailer would be that dumb

to store so much products which he is not allowed to sell. Usually retail stores get them around a week

or maybe maximum a month earlier. Anyone else receiving them so early must either have

a gigantic warehouse for that or ignoring the fact that the storage needs to store products

that are being sold at the moment.

If those from AR and VMV would be authentic XI concords delivered by JB,

JB would punish AR and VMV for violating the release date that much!

The need to get them early.
The need to get them cheaper.
Believing whatever a seller tells them even after many incidences with unhappy customers of quality and possibility of fakes.

We have this same discussion going on in like 4 different threads.

No need for a 5th.
