Ok, we already had many posts about the design and material issue, like the different
durabuck, suede leather used on those three different releases, the paintjob quality,

and the Jumpman VS Nike AIR logo thing.

Now i only own the 2000 retro which look definetly more authentic to the 1991 OG

than the 2010 does.

The shape/cutting of the 2000 retro however was often a bit mishaped as the material used

on the shoe was a bit too much, causing many people lacing them very tight to make them fit

which made the shoe look corny.

Although the shoe was quite high cutted, the stability of this shoe is only average and the

clear outsole made this shoe being quite useless when you play indoor with a dusty surface,

as the grip was really too weak.

Now i wonder how the OG and 2010 retro perform on court as i cannot believe that the OG

would perform that trashy while even the AJ 2 to AJ 5 retros perform better than the AJ 6 2000 retros.

So you want people to compare?

I don't have any of the 2000 retros and don't plan on getting any.

My gripe with the shoes is the quality difference. You'd think we could get the same material for the same price, but its not that easy.

Maybe Jordan Brand's materials supplier changed.

As for shape, idc as long as they don't look like some fake Jordans.

Performance? Anybody who uses a new retro to ball in is foolish and trying to style.

They're obviously not ballin shoes. The new team and sig shoes are for basketball.

Supposedly the fly wade is one of the greatest ballin shoes of all time.

1. I use new Retro's to ball. No sense in waiting for the shoes to get beat... There is so many pairs in rotation it would never happen. (Cdp 13, SJ11, AJ12)
2. "They're obviously not ballin shoes"

Not for balling? sorry but they are not only released for collection. Otherwise they wouldn't make some adjustments on
the AJ 9 or AJ 12 retros to make them perform well. The fact is that JB was slacking off in terms of quality on several

retros but that is not on everyone.

For instance: the AJ 2, 3, 8, 7, 9, 10 retros perform all quite well on court. Only the AJ 6 and 11 retros from 2000

weree quite disappointing.

that's what i meant. The OG were not only made with better paintjob (not chipping like on the first wear), but
some OG and 2000 retro owner told me once that the OG felt more stable and also the fitting was better.

i've had both DS og blk/inf 6's and the 00 retro 6's. if i remember correctly the og's were more smoother than suede and the shoe felt more sturdy. obviously og's had the 3m and the all infrared insoles. i haven't worn them but i remember the 00 retros being one of the most comfortable jordans i've worn. so cushiony and flexible. in fact the most comfortable j's i've ever worn were produced around 99-01 with the exception of the 03-04 12 retros. don't remember any of the latter retros being as comfy.

I've never owned the 2000 version. I've owned the OGs and the 2010.....and the 2010 are narrower, and to me feel much much stiffer.

Back when Kixology was around Professor K balled in the Olympic 6's he wasn't too crazy about the grip or the comfort but the VII's which obviously took many design cues from the VI were favorable. So even the older retros were hit and miss apparently.

That being said back in 1991 the VI was top of the line tech and top of the line performance so I'm not at all surprised they performed better then a retro. But also keep in mind  from 1991 to 2000 there were plenty of better performing/tech shoes that many who played had gotten used to..so that would add in factor of people feeling different about a shoe designed 91 when playing.

Love the VI and balled in them a few times. I must say they're no match for today shoes. Fit is not good. Too much movement. Insole is too slippery. Shoes feel a bit clunky. Heel to toe transition is disappointing. Shoes gave me blister after 2 hours of basketball
