AJ XI retro white/black-dark concord.....it's been 11 years today ^^

I still remember this day when i finally got my hands and feet on my own AJ XI since
i missed out the OGs back in 1995/1996.

How nice it was when i came home and found an Air Jordan box in my room, opening it

and have that strong smell of the patent leather finish. I think there was no other shoe

that made me so excited XD

Now they have aged, i had to whiten the yellowed mesh and had to re-glue the whole outsole.

i remember like it was yesterday.....

we cut 1st period soph year and went to NTSF at 8am. back then, that was like camping out (the good ol' days).

it was raining like crazy! i remember the ps2 came out a few days after too

the feeling of going back to school that day with concord on my feet was

sold my only pair in aug before the '11 concord hooplauh because they needed to be reglued & seaglowed........ im pissed at myself now because these '11 look like crap in comparison

Yea I was in 10th grade back then but wasnt into collecting Jordans yet. Started with the Cool greys and bred XIs. But recently scooped up several DS and VNDS 2000s and a pair of OGs. Really makes the 2011s look like trash. Not as excited as i should be for the Concord 2011s

I guess im one of the few that is looking to unload their 2000 pair for 2011 pair. I love the OG look with the blue sole and I am not a collector I just rock my Js. Plus swapping my old pair for a fresh pair and getting some extra cash in return is dope.

I think your Dark Concord XI collection says it all. While the visual appearance between the OG and 2000 retro
is very minimal (blue tinted outsole VS yellow tinted outsole, thicker ankle padding, slighly higher patent leather cut at the rear part),

the 2011 retro looks 

 with that patent leather cut at the heel and the dummy Jumpman on the left shoe (facing back)

Everyone that bought these got a free And1 mixtape (VHS), and got enrolled into the Footaction starclub (I miss those quarterly calendars they used to send out).

I remember those days. I would cut class to go cop the new releases then show up at school by lunch time just to be like, "n- you ain't up on this".

I remember one of my friends buying them only to return them so that he could cop the new iverson IV's with the zipper. Till this day he still kicks himself in the head for that.

I was in 10th grade when these dropped, still remember my friend calling me on the phone all hyped out of his mind saying check out east bay you wont belive what they have! He sent me the link and

 to my suprise they were there and still a full size run 7 o'clock at night mind you. I quickly gave my mom a wad of cash from 4-11 stock clerk kmart job (that was my pre bank account days) and had her order my beloved size 11.5, the next week of anticipation waiting for them to arrive sucked big time especially since my friend and I went to footaction that weekend and he ended up buying the last pair in his size. now 11 years later after countless battles on the hardwood and trips to school and the mall I still have them , they're yellow now and in need of a bit of glue but one of my most loved jordans of all time!

XIs were so much easier to get back in the day. I remember everyone would wait for the product sku to be posted in the XI thread so we could pre order from East Bay. The good ol'days

Figured I'd add my pair in the mix! Can you believe I paid retail for these on Ebay like 2 years ago deadstock. Some people don't know what they have or must really need money.

Kinda sad when you think about it.
