We have to go all offense in this years draft none of are WR's would start on any other team in the NFL. And if we fire Nolan who do we hire? If you getrid of Nolan Smith must go too.

at Smith getting 24 million before heeven had his first snap.

Haha, yeah I too agree that Nolan hasn't done a great job. Every Tuesday when I listen to KNBR and they interview Nolan, he always seems to answer aroundthe questions instead of directly. Alex Smith is a chump for going to the Mercury and talking about Nolan. He shouldn't have said anything and just let itgo. Oh well, Shaun Hill should get the start, why not have Micheal Robinson as the #2 backup since Dilfer has a concussion and no one would want him to step onthe field anymore this season.

I'd like to jump in here real quick. I mostly just read the forums these days but let's look at a couple things.
1- People say that the fans pumped up the niners for the playoffs in the preseason. That is true, but so did a lot of 'experts.' They were wrong too,not just us.
2- When we made the trade with the Pats I am fairly confident we thought we'd be giving them a top 5 pick. It was a calculated risk that backfired.
3- I was definitely pro Aaron Rodgers back then. What I really wanted to happen, but didn't was the drafting of Braylon Edwards. The T.O thing was stillfresh, we could have used a big play receiver. We weren't going to get significantly better so why not draft a stud receiver. The next year ( we werejust as bad) and would have had our choice between Cutler, Leinart and Young. Instead we got a buff TE that hasn't proven himself.
So now what do we have? a #1 overall flop and a coach that can't get their stuff together.
It sucks. It really does. It isn't like it was in the olden days when I first became a niner fan.

Like people said, the 2005 draft was a bad year forQBs, the Niners took what they could get from a very poor crop. Smith is no franchise QB, give him another 3-4 years then maybe he'll be a decent QB.

I'll give them one more year. But this off season we should tweak the Oline and receivers. Our D seems to be there and by next year when everyone healthy,we should make noise again.

But I kinda hope that 49ers MGT makes a bold move and fires someone or trades for someone.

A. Smith isnt gonna cut it.......shouldnt have been drafted #1 ...............I didnt feel good about this pick when it was made anyway. The o line needs help,we need a STAR Quarterback, our recieving core needs help and the D line need tweaking.

The thing with Alex Smith is, pre-injury or post-injury, it seems as if he's MOST EFFECTIVE is when he's on the move.

That's why the Niners call all these roll out plays for him, so he can get out the pocket, throw on the run.

That's a red flag in itself. A big one.

You can talk about the injury all you want, but, you take a look at Alex Smith as a whole, and is he a QB you would deem a franchise QB?

Not even close.

One more year and if he continues to suck, cut ties with him.

I know there was alot of hype about the 9ers making the playoffs this year. I will say this. The 49ers have the talent to make it past the WC round in theplayoffs. It all comes down to coaching. They have the talent, its just not working.

Heres what they do:

1. Fire Nolan, Hire Marty
2. Sign Anderson if he isnt offered a contract from the Browns. If not, go for McNabb since he wants out of Phili. Its out of conference so better chance theEagles would deal.
3. New O Coordinator if a new QB is brought in
4. Make the decision now if the 9ers are going to keep their current D coordinator long term.
3. Bring back 85, thats right, Brandon Lloyd.
