Alternative to ipods?

This junk is pissing me off. This is my third ipod and it's the same problem as the ones before.

My songs are physically on the ipod, because when I go to my computer and look through the music folder on my ipod they're there but they don't show up when I look on my ipod. It says no music.
My previous ones had the same problem and eventually just died all together a few weeks later.

Are there any other mp3 players with 160 gigs? I'm done with this %+!%

only 160db media player as far as i know. You're doing something wrong if 3 have went bad.

Last time it happened because my sister unplugged it while it was syncing.
This time all I did was plug the thing up sync, eject, and got in my car and nothing was there. But they're physically "there" because it's taking up the space

I was going to suggest a zune hd, but I don't think they have that amount of space on any of their models. Sorry brah.

anyway I could reset it without itunes? I stopped using that last year.

Now two of my playlists magically appeared, but everything else is still missing.
