I didn't buy it. It's nice though.

got my GF one for last christmas.
If you read a lot i would recommend one.
Best surprise by far about the kindle is that thousands of classic literature is available for free download.
So if you have any interest in novels that are older, than Kindle is an awesome tool and tons of books are free!
also i would recommend if you travel a lot, or have a long subway commute

my gf has one and she loves it.
wi-fi + free downloads = Happiness for her and happiness for me (now my PS3 is free so i can play it.)

very easy on eyes. but cant read in dark cause no backlight
