Amazon strike vol. Consumerism

noskey noskey All aspects of their business are ruthless. Even their IT shops - absolutely would not work for them.
Agreed. I know others in other parts of the company, but at least they're employees most of the time. Their truckers and delivery people are contractors, so they've got all the expectations and none of the benefits.

I haven't bought more than 5 items lifetime on Amazon either, most of the ppl complaining aren't willing to stop shopping on amazon

i haven't bought more than 5 items in my life total on Amazon...ive been an Ebay shopper forever.

Prices aren't as hot as they used to be. At least up here on Amazon.ca. If you have a bit of patience and cross shop you can and will find better deals.

It's human nature man. My first job out of college I thought that's all I needed. I've needed more every single year. It's hard to go back in lifestyle
It's greed and using limited resources to keep score with their fellow wealthy folks.
Most of these 0.1% dudes don't spend like the aspirational crowd: Mark Zuck wears the same **** every day; same with Steve Jobs. Half of them have pledged to give away most of their wealth to charity when they die.
Pursuing the goal of creating the largest company in the world or building the largest fortune in the world at the expense of millions of lives, only to give all that money away when you die is evil.

People got to stop picking and choosing what they're standing up for.

If you against Amazon, then you best be against Nike, Adidas and all the companies who take advantage of cheap labor.
I wish everyone gets paid more but I'm not sitting here on my high horse judging others for their purchasing decisions.

It's the same mentality from people who are disgusted at hunting but has no problem buying meat from grocery stores.
Be consistent with your damn social justice.
Every little thing can make a difference.

My union is down there. Glad to see them doing something I guess.

Honestly, this strike is soft though, 6 hour strike is wack. If they were really about it they’d stop working until they voted the union in and got what they wanted.

I’m sure there are plenty of scabs working still.
my union
we voting for a strike in sept
