America's 50 best cities

SF!! :hat

i go to work at 5am every morning and there's something about just walking on Market Street when its dark, chilly but illuminated by all the city lights that just makes me feel like i never want to move out of the Bay!

working in SOMA >>>> working in the valley / southbay

born and raised in SF, will always be #1. Currently living in LA and it indeed is a ****hole, although the weather ALMOST makes up for it. I kind of want to move to SD in the near future, is it safe to say SD is kind of like LA+SF combined?

sd is more like a cross between sj and (insert random beach community in socal)

gaslamp gets boring quick. and i cant stand socal weather. i like it to get cold (40's and 50's) in the winter + rain. im not about 80 degrees in january. bay area weather >>>>

I FIND IT COMICAL THAT HOUSTON IS OFTEN LEFT OUT THE TALKS AND IT IS THE 4TH LARGEST CITY IN THE COUNTRY AFTER LA, NYC, CHICAGO. THERE IS LITERALLY EVERYTHING HERE :lol

Hmm. I've lived in #1, #16, and #14. Loved them all. I'm from New Orleans so I'll always be partial. In my experiences, your quality of life in any city can be greatly enhanced by the amount of money in your pocket. If a person has money in New Orleans, it will rank at 14. If he doesn't, #999,999,999.

this is blasphemy bruh... Anchorage? Reno??? cleveland??@?!@?!?
i feel like someone just made a short film mocking my religion
People from Northern California have an L.A. complex, a lot of them hate us. By ranking SF #1 & LA #50 this list becomes void from the jump. I personally love SF and refuse to get involved in A>B, but you have to laugh at the fact how the hostility seems to only go one way.

I think you misunderstood what I said. I do agree that they are the two best cities in California; haven't visited the Pacific Northwest so I can't make that "west" claim.

You sound like you have a complex. No one from the North is talking about LA.
Do you just assume whoever came up with the list is from NorCal? Seriously you sound like you have the compex, where is this hostility?

Look internet tough guy, people from up north constanly hate on L.A. You don't have to look futher than niketalk to validate that. All I am saying is nobody from L.A. in this thread took shots at S.F., but there were shots taken at L.A. by S.F. members, like always. That is what constitutes an inferior complex. I never said L.A. was the greatest city and better than any other place so calm down.

Reno, NV ranked higher than Phoenix/Scottsdale and L.A. :rollin

I swear I'm not reading another one of these ridiculous "best city" lists.

SF, Portland, and Settle

I'm actually going on a road trip from SF, to Portland then to Seattle. Glad these cities are in the top 10
