Has anyone seen this movie? I watched it last night on Amazon Prime.

It was alright, it's one of those movies that sacrifices a coherent plot for allegory. Similar to Arrival imo

I wouldn't put Arrival and Annihilation in the same boat. Imo, the former was a much better film.

...

It was entertaining, and had its moments.

I think this and Ex Machina have the same director, and I thought Annihilation was the better of the two.

The movie got weird toward the end and I didn't really understand the ending. I give it a 6/10

I thought Annihilation was better than the Arrival.

Partly because i thought Arrival was gonna be on Interstellar’s level and it wasnt which left me dissapointed. I had no expectations for Annihilation so i was able to enjoy it more.

i loved it. the bear scene was awesome.

i might be in the minority i guess but i enjoyed the ending. obvious what happened to the husband but it's a question of if that's lena or not. either way, the shimmer goes on.

If youve seen it, whats your conclusion on the ending?
I thought she had escaped but the movie hinted she was the alien that copied her. Dunno how that happened. oscar isaac is a copy so weird that he couldn’t tell what she was.

I only liked the bear scene.

Rest was forgettable.

Movie is the goods... me and my bm watched it together... definitely want to watch it again to piece together some stuff we might have missed

movie was wack,
but then again i read the book.
Didn't expect it to be the same at all, but they BARELY scratched the surface in terms of what the book does with some of the concepts.
The stuff these women see and do in the book is :wow::wow::wow:
It's wild because the bear is an appetizer in a sense, just warms you up to the freaky stuff,
but in the movie its the highlight.

Movie was :emoji_fire:. Need to rewatch on some type of hallucinogen. Visuals at the end felt like I was tripping on acid.

Great film, one the most cohesive soundtracks I've heard.

I really enjoyed the "changing/interconnection" theme of movie. Old wasn't being destroyed, but something new was being built.
