Another Bron Travelling Post

Now - everyone knows that Bron gets special treatment on the travel calls. No doubt.
But, I was watching NBA.com's highlights of Cav's recent loss - and both highlights of LBJ takin to the hole in the 2nd half are blatant travels. 3steps!

It's one thing to not call it durin a game. It's a WHOLE nother thing to show it in highlights on NBA.com and pass it off as a legitimate play.

It gets me awkward frustrated - especially as I'm plannin to coach H.S. ball, cuz these kids will emulate these moves and come out worse for it. Now,granted 3 steps may be legal sometime in the future

Yea one step to two steps. -- not three steps, tho - which Bron obviously takes in the NBA.com vid. The first is really clear. He starts at three point line,takes step at same time as holding ball, then two steps after to a lay up.

I'm not going to defend Lebron's travel, but I will defend the refs for not calling it. As a potential HS coach you should be aware ofmakeup calls, and it is pretty obvious Lebron gets hacked everytime he takes 1 step toward the basket with the ball. The refs don't call those foulsbecause Lebron already has a supreme physical advantage over players, and they're just making up the calls by not calling the travels...

If you are worth your salt as a coach you shouldn't have a problem with your kidsemulating bad habits seen in the NBA. Anyway if you actually knew anything about hoops...star players have been getting away with traveling for awhile now. Itis not just a Lebron thing. You should have just made a post that says "I hate Lebron".

Ehhh 'hate' isn't it. But tho I agree there's players who travel, I haven't ever seen an NBA Highlight that would showcase it. The pointreally wasn't that Bron is travelin - it's more that it's an NBA highlight reel.

And I'm not sure how I'll feel about the habits taken on by the young kids. I'll have to see when I get there. I will say this.. I have two goodfriends who coach, one is a JuCo coach, and the other is Girl's Varsity HS. Both have had very solid officiating. The only leeway really is in the foulcalls.

And to reiterate - when I say NBA highlight reel, I mean a highlight that's actually put together by the League.

I don't know, complaining about LeBron traveling has gotten more annoying to me than him actually traveling. Like somebody made a video on Youtube"exposing" all his travels, and like half of them weren't even violations, the #%*%!#@ who made the video just started counting early. AndI'm surprised so little is ever said about how much Pierce travels. Watch when he does his pumpfake jump into move, he travels to set it up. Shaq travelstoo. He does a little 2 footed bunny hop to power up even after he has already taken his steps.
