Thanks.  The other thing too, the people I might exchange e-mails with (on a professional or business side) isn't someone I want to "follow" or need them following me. Not a good idea. 

Facebook is successful because you don't need to know (for the most part) that "old friend" email address, username, etc. to find them and add them, just their name.

Edit - After reading the article, they pointed out what I was trying to say...
Some of these "normals" are physicians or mental health professionalswho have patients they email with. Some of these people are journalists(ahem!) dealing with anonymous sources. Some of these people arespouses who are finding a safe way out of bad marriages with the helpof someone their spouse doesn't know about. Some of them are juniorstaffers, secretly arranging to get a 50% raise going to a new companyto become a manager for the first time.
Google trying to set some people up!
