Another Zimmerman?

smh if this guy gets convicted i will be pissed. no sarcasm. this guy had a good reason he legit felt his home was threatened. if we can't defend ourselves on our property then what do we have left?! luckily the kid is alive though, sad situation all around.

"He would steal -- he was a professional thief, sure," David Coulter said. "But he would never pick up a gun, not in a million years. He was too scared to aim a gun at the grass, let alone aim it at a person. No way. Before he'll ever pick up a gun, he'll be your friend first.

"He's still a little boy," the brother said. "Who pulls a trigger on a 14-year-old? What if it was your little brother or your sister? How would you feel?"

But Landry's neighbors and friends said they could understand where Landry's actions. They said that Landry, who has a pregnant wife and baby daughter, believed the teen was trying to break into his house.

Difference is he wasnt in any immenent danger of serious bodily harm.
Not to say Zimmerman was either. He said he was but who knows the other side of the story.

He shot him from 30 feet away...he should've at least yelled out something to the kid and then made a move if it seemed like the kid was gonna try something

But at the same time the kid shouldn't be inside someone's fence that 2am in the morning...he was asking for it

You can't just blow away someone for being in your yard, regardless of the time of day or that person's criminal background.

So if I walk in your yard to your door to drop off some mail that was delivered to my house instead of yours, you can just blow me away as soon as I step foot in your yard?

People are nuts.

You shouldn't especially with the distance the kid was from the house but people are super scary...that's the problem with some gun owners...they're so ***** that they'll pull a trigger quick

Brah, this happened at 2AM. No one is coming to your door to return missent mail at 2AM. I know this is a child and a horrible situation, but I honestly can't see how anyone can blame the homeowner. Especially considering that he has a pregnant wife and a baby girl.

Why is a kid that age lingering around a house at that time of night.

There will ALWAYS be another Zimmerman. There were others before him and there will be others after him, sadly.

Black folks of all age groups need to understand that their lives are expendable in this country. If your skin is black, you aint getting no courtesy warning shots. That black skin is enough of threat to warrant "self-defense" action by some trigger happy loon.

When it's all said and done, lil man had zero business entering someone's yard at 2am. No good was destined to come from that. He brought this on himself, quite unfortunately.

Only thing this and the Trayvon/Zimmerman situation have in common is that the victims were black
