im an audio engineer.  8 years in.

how do i conduct my work?  I sit in a studio all day and mix.  Anything from TV commericals, trailers for film, and build radio spots.  I also record voice overs for almost every trailer you hear.

Its a corporate gig.. im on salary and work 10-7.  I miss my freelance days, but in these economic times, having something solid is important.

if you are looking for someone who is an audio technician, like someone who builds stuff... i have done that too.. I have build Stereo compressors that are clones off the SSL 4000G master bus compressor.. built them from scratch using schematics and what not.  im not GREAT with building stuff, but I can find out how to do anything on the internet.

any other questions?

eyegiantjackpot - how did you start out? are the trade schools like SAE/expressions a solid way to get the necessary experience and information to start out?
