Any Members of the National Guard on here?

Just asking cause ive been recently thinking about joining.

I want to be a Police Officer / Corrections officer and was reading that i could do MP in the Guard.

I figured that would give me a heads up and a start as to becoming a Cop or CO if im MP.

Anyone with any opinions? thanks

Being in the military in general will get you a one up on everyone else. I wouldn't suggest going that route militarily...

Going National Guard is like a part time job. If you really want to do it, i just suggest going active duty, or pursue being a civilian cop

i really dont wanna go active cause like i said, i wanna be with a cop/co.

i know they look for college with that, but i feel like with MP it would be a leg up and be better than college considering im getting training in that field.

plus i wont have a 3 year commitment.

My older brother joined back in 04, served two terms in Iraq. He is now an Army Ranger and still continues to serve in the National Guards. He is also employed by the military intelligence full time making well over six figures.
