Islam is a life long practice though. There is no end to the knowledge nor the life style. It is a blue print to a successful life, and if not in the world, then surely the after life. A large part of Islam rests on your ability of understanding you are NOT in control and giving that to God in all aspects of life.. Which is pretty much the exact opposite of the movement you see now adays talking about " I will it, and it comes into existence" it is the time of supreme arrogance from human beings, and Islam helps you maintain a grounded view. A humble view...a natural approach to the connection of man, god, and earth.
Those who are spiritual can find deep spirituality in Islam.
There are five basic tenants of islam. Called the Islamic pillars. As a Muslim you must have belief in their existence and practice.
1. The shahada ( I bear witness that there is no God except Allah, and that Mohammed was his PROPHET"
The reason this is the number one pillar of Islam is due to the Mono theistic aspect of Islam. There is only one god, all praise is due to him. Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, etc. Were all JUST prophets. Not god, not the son of god, just people sent on behalf of God. This is a major difference between Islam and Christianity, as Christians do not believe in the prophecy of Muhammed, although historically the man was great and accomplished more in his life than any person through out history.. It is evident as time passes, religion looses validation to humans and slowly fades. Hence the reason there were prophets sent to all groups of mankind and tribes to try to inform them of the true message. However nothing can stop time, and surely like broken telephone it continues to fall apart. You can see it even by the post in this thread that said something along the lines of "seeing how many threads pointed out the fallacies in religion im surprised anyone would want this" this is just natural human progression. And this is MENTIONED in the Quran, that at one point religion will be as hard to hold onto as a burning rock. But there in lies the strongest foundation for Muslim belief. And that is the Quran. Words did not change in the document since revelation, and this is dear to us as the text has remained one message.

So i do not want to deter you nor do i want to give false info, but i wil do my best. and if you want to continue talking i can write up a lot more stuff.
