I found it that I only drink about 2-3 times a year (Homecoming, St Patricks Day, New Years)
I've been thinking about just giving up alcohol all together, because in all reality it does nothing for me. But during those times of the year the drinks let the good times role, I don't smoke or do drugs so thats all out the question. I couldn't even fathom going out New Years or Homecoming sober.

And even then as I get older and may go to events alcohol is the only thing served.

I've always made the choice to not drink. Never had an alcoholic beverage my entire life actually. It's also a thing for me that whoever I'm in a relationship with doesnt drink either.

Nothing positive has ever happened in my life when alcohol is involved.

I obviously socialize with drinkers and still have a good time with them, I just dont do it myself.

why would you be sober for no reason? you don't have a problem. you said you have fun on the few occasions you do drink.  i don't see the point of it.

Never sipped in my life. My reason used to be that I was an athlete and it would derail my intentions. Then I said, "I went this long, "Minus whale" keep it going."

Nah it doesn't bother me when people around me are drinking and I am not.

But it is weird when a female is drinking and I am not. Sometimes maybe that works against me?

Am I missing something here? You say nothing positive has happened with alcohol involved and since you never drank you're obviously referring to other people drinking. Then you say you have a good time with drinkers?

Quite frankly, alcohol does not taste good to me period. I don't care how much people speak of acquired taste or what ever. Wine, Brown, White , beer, etc etc is all disgusting to me.

I guess its a generational thing, but I find it ugly when chicks binge drink or smoke, but its common with my age group, so its one of those things I suck up and deal with.

tried giving up beer for a month, but i've become a fan of trying new beers so it was tough. lasted about 3 days, not nearly an alcoholic though.

What a coincidence you made this thread, this is my last weekend of drinking for a while, my tolerance is getting too high, I can drink a $#*$ load of alcohol and barely feel buzzed, I need to dry out for a month or two

lol, yea even though I only drink 2-3 times a year, I`m not to the point where I`m one drink and done.

The more I work out and get ready for this military thing, the less I drink. Not only is the drinking bad for you but I tend to make terrible food choices when I drink. I only think 2 or 3 times a month and only when I go out. I can totally see a day when I'm older and I don't drink at all.

I gotta chill on drinking guess imma chill for awhile. Sorta like no jerking june.

I know I have to chill. But ive been drinking 3 times a week. Sometimes 4 depending on what is going on that night.

When I first started college, I was on regular cycle of partying and drinking with friends but over the years I've cooled off on alcohol tremendously. I'm more of just a social drinker now; if we're out hanging or there's a special occasion to celebrate/rage, I'll drink but other than that, I'll go weeks and months w/o drinking with no problems.

I never drink and whenever me and my homies are chilling and they throwing back some beers they know the deal and respect it but whenever Im with other people I get the "you dont drink

" followed by a bunch of questions

yea, I`m exactly a social drinker, my go to drink when I do drink is Crown Black and Coke, idk how folks drink EJ and Paul Masson and stuff junt tasted HORRID.

this, hate that $#!+... you end up spending way too much

I have not smoked in 5 plus years, and have not had a drink in about a year. Do not plan on doing either ever again.
Feel better now at 30, then I have since I was 21. No knock on people that do it, but It will benefit you down the road if you stop.

I don't consider myself a drinker. Really I just drink when I go out with my close friends which isn't too often. Been fiending for some patron for the last few weeks for some reason though. That never happens.

I drink even less often than I go to clubs. I never drank much in college, but it was usually fun when I did.

I don't drink. Not for moral reasons, I just can't get past the taste. If it tastes bad and isn't healthy, I'm not putting it in my body. I'll eat some raw cacao if I wanna get crunk.

I do like watching people drink though and seeing what their preferences are. Highly entertaining for the most part.

Never had a drink in my life. I'm 19.Don't plan on ever drinking. Just don't see the point.

Ive prob drunk (drank? drinken?) less than 20 times in my life and im 20 years old. Usually drink like 3 times a year for Halloween, New years, and the occasional friends birthday. I just dont really like the whole process, plus it tastes

Compare that 3 times a year to the 600+ times a year i smoke though

I used to drink, drink, drink. I'd throw parties at home or in hotels just to drink, but I don't anymore. I have heart failure so I've slowed down. I haven't drank in about a year. It's funny cause I don't even notice it's been that long. Guess when real sh** happens stuff like drinkin is easy to ignore.
