Any painters on NT??? tips?

me and my wife are painting our whole house, literally every room, 'cause it's all white and that's what my parents always had and i think it'sboring

we're kinda learning things the hard way w/ mistakes

we had to do the whole ceiling downstairs because part of it had to be fixed in the kitchen and about 95% of it is all connected

we painted the bathroom, laundry room, and kitchen downstairs today and used tape on the ceiling when doing the edges

we pulled the tape off after it dried a little while and it pulled a little bit of the paint off the walls...in retrospect we should've pulled it off whilestill wet and we plan to touch it up w/ q tips

any tips on a better way to go about doing the edges or touching them up??

Try to lessen the adhesion of those (masking) tapes by trying to adhere them first to a fabric...

Can't you just buy the blue masking tape made for painting corners/edges? It should have the right amount of stick.

this...is it painting season b/c i just helped my dad paint yesterday?

Vsano - i don't think that would help any...what happened was we didn't remove the tape from the ceilings until after the paint on thewalls had dried a bit

as we removed it some of the paint on the wall had peeled of with the tape and now it needs touched up
