Their best CD's IMO are Choices and When The Smoke Clears. I still need The End. And since Lord and Gangsta Boo left, things have been on the downslope.

mace40, not at all man. I picked up on Three 6 just since I started smoking, which was very recently. I already knew them from Most Known Unknown, and I justpicked up Most Known Hits, which is a compilation album (which put me up on most of their singles). Other than that, I know very little of their history otherthan what I read on Wikipedia...but I like what I hear.

Like dude said, grab all the Project Pat you can, especially Ghetty Green and Mista Don't Play. The main problem with Three 6 is that their old stuff istheir best stuff, and the old stuff is fairly difficult to find. HCP (Hypnotize Camp Posse) used to be fairly diverse, but (this may not be up-to-date) I thinkthe only cats still on there are Pat, Lil Wyte (who has at least one good album under his belt, name escapes me at the moment), Chrome (ehhh) and of course,the Triple 6 Mafia themselves.

If you like what you hear, check the guest artists' catalogs, HCP doesn't usually put!*@+*+# artists on their guest spots.

It's funny, at first I picked up Three 6 because EVERY stoner I knew listened to them religiously. Now, I can seriously see why. After becoming one ofthem, I just have to every time I blaze. I just don't fell right if I don't.

I'm sure I haven't heard Three 6 long enough to distinguish different group members in some of the songs, but I always though Crunchy Blackcontributed well in most of the songs in Most Known Unknown.

just listen to his lyrics....some of the weakest/wackest %*$! I've ever heard (of course Three Six isn't about the lyrics to begin with)....but like Isaid, his voice and unique delivery make up for it....

World Domination is their best imo..... Live by Yo Rep is cool for the Bone diss....Da End and Mystic Stylez are great too.....their newer stuff (when thesmoke clears, most known unknown, da unbreakables) is a little different (a little less chaotic devil worship kind of %*$!) but is good nonetheless evenwithout half of the group. Actually, come to think of it, most of the newer stuff is as good as the older stuff...

the really amazing thing about Three Six is that they have managed to obtain moderate mainstream success without selling out, as most mainstream acts do.

I have to agree with you memphisboi. I've been a fan since i heard Mista Dont Play and their@!%@ hasn't really been up to par since When TheSmoke Clears. I'm not saying they didn't have any good cds after "when the smoke clears" but they def were a whole lot better when they hadthe whole click

alright....nice to hear another enlightning opinion. .....with that said, I may have jumped the gun on that one...just a little...their last two albums werepretty damn good imo and if they had the full group would've definitely stood toe to toe with most of their other work.

Lets See been a fan since I got put on in my freshman yr. Started with then the smoke clears, moved to chap 2, then picked up mystic styles, hcp 2000,unbreakables, then all of the underground tapes. I got about 40 of their cd's in the library so I can put you on to all of it.
