I know we've tried it a few times and they've all failed. Not miserably, but they haven't been all that great.

If anyone is down, let's start off by giving book suggestions. It can be any book, but to facilitate involvement and improvement of the club, we should have a book that everyone can relate to and that isn't too tough of a read.

My choice would be The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I'm currently reading this (almost done) and I think it would be just the right book.

I want to know what you guys think would be a good book to start off with. As the club begins to pick up pace and people actually participate, we can incorporate more challenging reads.

Which book do you think would be just right?

Whenever you read The Lost Symbol I will be down.
been meaning to read it but just haven't. maybe that'll be the motivation I need

we can all video chat and talk about the books

I'd be interested. Although I dont check NT as much as I used to, I'm sure this would give me reason to.

*crickets*

Should I just start the dang club? This way seems to be ineffective.

The book was good, as I could relate to it a lot, almost scary how much. I'd recommend it.

I would try but no library around me. And when i read long books i get a headache.

Digging this up! I just copped the newly discounted Nook and looking to step my reading game up. I now have the NYT subscription and Superfreakonomics on my Nook.

Just finished Grapes of Wraith. I could write a lot of about the book. Its simply a great book on every aspect regarding family, woman, society, and immigration.

Now reading Breakfast of Champions.

Read the cardiovascular physiology section in First Aid for Step 1. I'm a dork.

I've been wanting to find a good read for a while, but something that would be good for a 20s male. Other books don't really motivate me to read further so I'd want something exciting. Does anyone have suggestions? I can make a Barnes n Noble trip tomorrow.

Im about to start reading the second book "Catching Fire". The first one was called "The Hunger Games" it was really good.

Just finished Superfreakonomics and The Tipping Point this past week. On to The 4 Hour Workweek. I'm going to read through all of these "popular" business/self-improvement books.
