Anyone else going through this?

I'm 20 years old and man I've been out of school for almost 3 years now, I could never afford to go to college, I get no financial aid etc. This is going to bother me for the rest of my life I know it, the most I got for aid is 200 bucks 

, thats not even enough for books lol. Anyone know of any scholarships I can do or something?

Start at a community college, if you don't feel college is needed for what you want to do in life, gain experience and take the trade school route. Stay away from for-profit universities.

I think the best people you can talk to are the counselors at the schools. ive been out of school for 4 years now and only work.

i havent even tried going back so i wouldnt know what your situation feels like.

i have a few friends in your situation and talking to the counselors would be the best choice.

maybe someone else on here have some better info for you.

depending on your high school GPA and sat/act scores (if you went to a FL high school), bright futures pays 100%, 75%, or 50% of your tuition for 4 years at the Florida college of your choice.

Im at University of Miami, so Bright Futures obviously didnt pay everything but it certainly helps. On top of that I got FRAG, which is for anyone living in the state. "Florida Residency Access Grant" or some $$$!. Free money just for livin here. I'm wondering if other states have similar programs although Im pretty sure the lottery funds BF, so that might not be an option in some areas.

It should be noted that the amounts BF pays you is based on the average cost of tuition at public universities in the state so 100% would not be enough for tuition at University of Florida while it would be more than enough at other public schools, although I doubt you receive the extra money.

dont think so but if you that broke OP then financial aid should cover everything, you doing something wrong

You have to be either really rich or screwed up somehow on your financial aid when you signed up for it because there is no way you could only get $200. I'd look into that again.

If money is the problem you should be able to get Financial aid or

You can start out at a community college and get a job to pay for your tuition or you can get loans

Get out of here with that, acting like you know my life.. If i wasn't trying to improve I would not be suggesting help on what I can do. I obviously stated I cannot get financial aid because although my dad is not rich, the government still considers he makes a decent amount of money when in reality he does not due to the fact of mortgage payments,bills..etc... and I did start community college but couldn't finish because the loans were just piling up and I had no way to pay em all.. So go somewhere else talking about I'm complaining.
