This was being discussed on the radio this morning...some of the hosts were saying that TD is ridiculously overhyped, and Man on Fire was the better of the twomovies. In thinking about it, that statement MAY be right. Of course it's all a matter of opinion....so what do you all think?

Never seen Man On Fire. Not gonna lie, not the greatest Denzel fan. But if people are putting it on the same scale as Training Day, I'll definitely have tocheck it out.

yeah and this coming from someone who's seen training day multiple times
but never seen all of Man on Fire

Denzel is ruthless in Man on Fire.

Good question. I've seen Training Day at least a dozen times, and Man on Fire at least five or six times. I would say that it's too closeto call. I think that Training Day had the better plot overall, but I like the acting and the action scenes in MoF more.

Man on Fire is way better than Training Day.

Training Day isn't that good of a movie. It's alright, Denzel plays a great part, but the plot and acting by the other characters is lacking.

Man on Fire is one of the better movies to come out in like the past 5 years. Plot/story is good. Acting is good, especially by the little girl Lupita.

Never saw Man on Fire but im DLing it now. Based on the replies, should be a great movie

Agreed on both points. I thought that acting by everyone other than Denzel was pretty poor. See: Dr. Dre.

Character development was much better in MoF, imo. You get to see Creasy starting off as a drunken loser, and how Lupita changes him into a completelydifferent person.

training day was gully... but man on fire was a great film top to bottom. hell, it even had christopher walken in it.

edit... cant believe this wasnt on youtube. so i uploaded it...

That's the way I feel as well. I loved Training Day, but I think the character development was MUCH better in Man on Fire.

I'm laughing cause I forgot that Dre was in Training Day too. Dreand Snoop in the same movie says all anybody needs to know about which movie is better.

He should have won his oscar for this movie. Not Training Day.

TD is definitely not his best movie. Definitely.
