Anyone ever get held back a Grade?

I did. Spent half of my 3rd grade year living in Jamaica with my mom. When I came back I had missed so much school that I had to repeat the 3r'd Grade. $$* was devestating to me at the time, but I got over it.

My sister skipped a grade,

I got held back because of my birthday, but never got held back for being dumb and failing.
