For the past 2 days my left eye has been tearing all day long, its sensitive to light, and it hurts. I went to the doctors earlier and they put some fluorescent dye in it and said that there was scratches on both of my eyes but that it was more severe in my left eye, and that the scratches were most likely caused by my contacts. They gave me some antibacterial eyedrops and scheduled me for a follow up tomorrow. This ever happen to anyone? It might be the most annoying thing to ever happen to me.

I've scratched my cornea a few times. It happens when dust gets under the contact lens and then you dont take them out properly. Hurts like hell especially when any kind of wind hits it. Best bet is to just use the drops and keep your contacts off for a few days. Mine usually healed within 2-3 days.

Yeah its happened to me twice now. Each time results in the same symptoms you described; plus, my eyes became pinkish red and sometimes there was a yellowish discharge. I was 100% sure I had pink eye, but it ended up being a scratch. The last time it happened, I didn't wear contacts for a month just to make certain my eye had completely healed. Just make sure you keep putting in the eye drops and don't wear your contacts whatsoever.

I scratched my cornea the other week playing ball.... no fun.
if it's serious they'll eye patch you for a day because when you blind it irritates the scratch and prevents it from healing completely.

You gotta wear glasses for like a week and take those drops. Your eyes are irritated and they get an allergic reaction.

Yup this happened to me when I wore contacts three years ago. I hate contacts they suck. They made my eyes super dry and bloodshot red. Glasses.

Might as well stop wearing contacts and stick to glasses because it only gets worse.

i know your not supposed to, but does anyone sleep with your contacts? i have on occasions where i forget to take them out, or it was a crazy night lol

Done that a couple times. Horrible thing to do. Great place for bacteria to eff up your eye sight. Will get infected sooner than later.

Yeah has happened to me before, the drops should do the trick.

Having to wear contacts/glasses FTL

has to be the most annoying thing especially those days that you are so tired that you don't want to go take them out at night

i don't wear contacts, but i've just recently had similar symptoms.

turns out i completely murked the layer of film that covered my cornea in my right eye.

tearing up like crazy all the time and soooo sensitive to light. had to take steroid and antibiotic drops, and it eventually healed, i think.

i had to go to an eye specialist, so i recommend you do the same. the DO at TSO told me i had to get surgery and it might affect my vision.

but she was wrong. i do have some scarring left over, but it didn't affect my vision at all.

but yeah, i suggest you see a specialist and take care of that asap cause i had the same symptoms.
