I'm trying to break into the field of Digital Marketing, E-Comm, or a related field on a professional level. I plan on getting a graduate certificate in Marketing to focus on a specific discipline and save $$$ rather than to go ahead and spend tens of thousands on an MBA.
I have experience selling on eBay (12 years), Craigslist,, Amazon, managing social media to advertise for brands...so I at least have somewhat of a base (SEO, SEM, social media).
Spoke with a buddy who works in e-comm on the corporate level and he recommended getting AdWords certification. I did a little research and understand the basic concept. Can anyone school me on the benefits of having this on my resume and how it will help me along on my career path? I guess I'm just looking for someone to dumb it down for me.
