Anyone got insurance for the their phone?

I ordered my Blackberry Storm on Friday and declined it (5.99 or 6.99 extra a month) but i got 15 days to add it on if I want it. Is the insurance worth it?the most ive ever done to my phones is get minor scratches or chips from it getting dropped but im pretty sure i cant walk into the Verizon store and exchangeit for something like that

i have it for my phone..haven't had to use it though..i've dropped my phone a ton of times but it still works like the day i got it..i got the alias onverizon btw

Only part that sucks is the $50 deductible.

Yes. What I did was just wait til mine got really beat up then called and added it to the plan, waited a few days, then made a claim and got a new one

yeah its worth it. you most likely get 2 replacements per year. i claimed my att tilt as being lost the second month of my contract and they sent me a new one.they even gave me a discounted price for the first time using insurance .i only paid 50 for the replacement phone, which is also brand new. the next time imake a claim, its going to be 125 though. best thing to do is to put in a claim every 6 months and sell one of the phones so you make some extra money.

Its worth the $6 extra dollars a month. Just look at it this way, if you lose it or it breaks do you really wanna pay full price for another Strom? $50 is asmall price to pay for a new phone.

Yes, it's definitely worth it. You have to own your phone for two whole years! Two years is a very long time and you have no idea what could happen duringthose two years. Heck, back when I was with AT&T, I had to put the insurance to use after 6 months!

How did you get insurance on your iPhone?

I was told you can't get it on the iPhone through AT&T (what AT&T told me), but my friend went and got it through his actual insurancecompany (allstate, etc.) like you would on a TV or something, and he said it's like $10 for the year.

I got insurance on my G1 and that *%*! came in handy already because it dropped and the screen cracked. I always have insurance on my phones. I wish there wasinsurance on the iphone as well because my screen cracked months ago and I refuse to spend of 2 bills to fix iit so I just use it for calls and i use the g2for txt and internet.

Def worth it. I have insurance for my blackberry.. a month after I got my first one I fell in a puddle and my phone came with me.. Had to get a new one.. Nowmy tracking ball is all messed up and my phone has been through a lot.. gonna get another one.. Way better than paying the full price if you mess up your phone

Hella worth it. Your getting a phone worth 500 600 for 50 bucks on verizon or 125 on ATT.


I lost my pda last year and did insurance, ended up finding the old one and selling it.
I make sure to use my 2 times every 2 years.

Just make sure they dont send u any refurbished phones. You can usually tell. Just send it back to them until u get a new one.
