Anyone have an AKAI mpk49/ m-audio axiom 49/ similar?

I have the mpk49.
I never tried the m-audio so I don't know much about it, but just by looking at it they're pretty similar. The only difference I see off the bat isthat there's only 8 pads on the m-audio as opposed to 12 pads + 4 pad banks. Also heard that the m-audio is kind of cheaply made.
The akai is also geared very much towards hip-hop production, which is another thing to consider.

MPK has 12 pads....more faders and knobs...
M-Audio doesn't...
Go with the MPK....I've been a loyal buyer of Akai products...they always have good equipment.
