Anyone here do Law enforcement for either MPD or US Capital Police?

Well, I'm in the process of both Police forces and I just want to know what are the pros and cons? Only thing I know is US Capitol starts of at $55k and MPD starts off at $48k. If anyone here have any inside scope or any information that you would like to share, please feel free to share them. This is what i went to school for, so I want to know a good career move.
