The HTC MyTouch/Sapphire/Magic have gone by the moniker the G2, but HTC doesn't acknowledge that. Plus Gatorade already had the name G2.

yea I like that G1ish look too with the bend at the bottom but its all good the software is what I'm buyin it for so its coped REGARDLESS
