Anyone seen The Blind Side?

You know how at the end of the movie they talk about how there was that teen from the projects who was a talented football player but was killed by gunfire violence? Then they show the clip of Hampton Fluker (actor) the same dude earlier hanging out in the apartment when Michael starts throwing down, and the guys just in the corner all chill staring at the fight. Is that dude that guy who was shot? I'm wondering why they put that part about the murdered teen in and I was wondering who it was.

Yea, the guy they showed in the newspaper was the same guy in the projects. They mentioned that kid used to play football till he started working for that other guy.
