I want to go back and get my master's but I'm not sure.

Recently got hired with a decent paying job and I don't know if I want to go back to school just to have to fend for work when I get out. Granted, when Iget out it will be 2013 and things may be looking up by then.

Anways, any of you looking into going back to school next year? Have you taken your gre or equivalent standardized test?

Im hoping to start in Fall 2010. Been studying for GMAT and plan to take it by the end of the month.

I plan to work all throughout so I dont see that being a huge issue at this point.

Same here, I'll be working and doing school part-time. I just started studying for the GMAT and probably will take the test in Feb. Let me know how yourtest went. What's your study schedule like?

I got a few study guides and material from Borders. I use Kaplan but some don't recommend it. I also registered on MBA.com and downloaded their practicetests so I do those now. To start I read the book and did the questions a couple of hrs every other day, but Ive amped it up since I have a couple of weekstill test day. I would recommend, if you haven't taken math in a while, to brush up on algebra most importantly.

Ive also been writing my application essays so I think I'll be prepared for the essay portion of the test. What my main focus will be is the Math, becauseI'm really good at the reading/writing stuff. But yeah, I like to do a couple of hrs a day at this point.

yea im planning on it for sports admin.
my pops wants me to go.. i figure why not they help me out alot school and stuff..

i gotta sign up for the GRE and start applying..

Hopefully in the fall of 2011

Kaplan is a joke. They are teaching you things that you do not need to know and wasting your money as a result. Go with Princeton Review or one of the other"bibles" out there that actually tell you how to master the exam (the nuances, tricks) and pass.

After im done with my bachelors (roughly 2 more years) Is it true that you must maintain a 3.0 in your classes or they don't count??

Yep. Anything below a B is considered failing the course. My friend who is finishing her masters this semester told me that she starting crying when shesaw that she was going to get a B- in one of her classes.

@Lazy I'm pretty sure it was you who told be about Kaplan (after I'd already bought them), which is why I went with some other stuff to supplementafterward. I was like "damn it!!!!" When I first heard about kaplan lol

Upon acceptance, I'll be going in for my Master's in Education starting Spring of '10. As much as I loved my undergraduate English/Writing courses,I already know I'm going to love all of the education theory and credential work classes.
