Anyone use DMSO?

I tried to search for a thread about this but couldn't find anything.

I was listening to my local sports radio station and they were talking about the controversy with Ray Lewis using the deer antler spray and one of the brought up something called DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide) that he and his whole team used to use before and after practices for pain relief and as a natural anti inflammatory.

After doing some minor research online it doesn't seem like its illegal and you can buy it online but I'm still a bit skeptical. has anyone here ever used it or heard of this? My semi-pro football season is coming up and this would be a awesome use if there isn't a big catch with using it.

Yeah its used in Football a lot but I think it can be bad for you if you use it too much. It also smells horrible. Basically its a prescription strength icy hot from my understanding of it
