ANYONE WORK FOR APPLE? CHECK IN

So I apply online get an email a few days later saying I got an impressive resume.

I applied for inventory specialist, cashier and customer service.
Have no idea which one they contacted me for but ok.

Im suppose to meet with a rep in the next week or so.

Whats pay like? Benefits? any info is appreciated.
Of course I can call and ask but imma talk it out with the rep and have a sitdown.

I asked somebody this before. I don't think they make comission. I don't know about discount. But hrly is pretty good like $15.
 
I used to work for Apple...Inventory Specialist is a painful $#%(#)% job. I wouldn't do it if I were you. On days when it's busy you might go postal.All the dudes at my store looked suicidal and only had that position because they were anti-social and couldn't deal with customers all the time. Pay isgreat for retail. I was pulling in 13.50/hr for part time work. Discount was 30% I believe...I can't remember because I didn't use it much but I thinkthat was it. But they always have little firesales that employees get first dibs at and that along with your discount can make for some big time purchases. Igot a refresh 80GB for like $200 using like 3 different discounts one time and this was like a week after they came out. I was a Mac Specialist which was cool.
 
We don't work on commission, that way we can provide all of our customers with a complete solution and no pressure =P That is something we can freelydiscuss with our customers. wow, i sound like such a nerd.

Its a great company to work for, all the employees have awesome personalities.

If you get hired, youll find that you arent meant to speak about being an employee or really anything else on the web, so be careful.

LOL at the complete solution...I work there and im a part time mac specialist in the Genius GYO program. Its a pretty chill job, my managers are cool as@@!#. best job ive had and im almost 23. The only thing that irks me is that some employees dont know @@!# about @@!# when it comes to macs. Customerservice is all fine and dandy, but if you dont know wat the product your selling is or can do, its a problem...Other than that its a pretty chill job as longas you know your @@!#....I plan on transferring up to the soho store genii team when i graduate from school in December...Bana which store do you work at?????

Ive had to sign legal paperwork about keeping quiet on a company so I can handle it.

Had no idea you worked for apple. I remember the apple thread you made awhile back though.

^ True, but I think most people here are more curious about the retail side than corporate.

Apple/Google are two of the most sought after companies to work for. Apple's culture translates down to their retail floor, so I wouldn't say it'sso far off.
 
Being the Apple lover that I am I plan on apply/working at the Apple store this summer. The main thing that I am really looking foward to is the discounts, cananyone verify the the discount benefits please??
 
I've been with Apple for 4 years. I started at SoHo and now I am at the West 14th st store. Great company to work for, benefits are great and as statedthere is so much personality and talented people that work for this company. I would strongly advise you to follow the company confidentiality rules. All jokesaside work for the money and the experience, forget about the discount.
 
Nobody I have come across that works at an Apple store is comfortable speaking about discounts or wages... kind of odd.
 
I work at an Apple Store. I work with the Inventory Specialist team. It is true that particular job can get crazy but it is only at certain times. It'sreal chill actually but it all truly depends on who is the lead or the manager for the Inventory team.
I was a Mac Specialist during the Holidays. Trust me it gets crazy and I would come home super tired.
Overall it's been okay. The discount is nice.
 
Can any of you Mac Specialists help me with my wifi Music d/l issue please? The post is in the general section.
 
My bro works at the store in SOHO, and he hates it but he needs the money and if he doesn't make that money he will be back in forest hills living with thefam. I used to look for jobs that were fun, but in the end all work sucks and you need the money either way.
 
So I'm looking into the concierge OR inventory position. I'm 19 still in college looking for pay between 10.50-13.00 PART TIME


Would any of these jobs satisfy those wages??

If I pull through as a Concierge, I can manage because I work well with communicating w/ the general public, but I'm not sure how good the pay is. And Iknow some of you guys said the inventory position is hectic.

Please let me know, yall. Thanks!
