Whats funny is when Apple drops the larger screen iphone 6 next year, people will still hate and say "so and so been had this"

Whats funny is people without apple products always have to justify why what every they have is better and dont want an iphone.

How do you know iphone 6 will have a bigger screen?

are thy going to add another row of icons?

it has to be bigger, what else coudl they do to seperate it from the 5S?

every phone is getting bigger and bigger and its shown thats what people want.

while it would be cool to have a slightly bigger iphone. the S4 or w/e is out now is OD huge.

if they made an iphone that big, no thanks jeff.

the iPhone 5 is a beautiful phone, nice size, weght, etc, etc but it lacks some of the newer stuff everyone else has.

I dunno about everyone else, but when i had my iPhone, i got yearly upgrades regardless of the 2 year contract.  Did this from OG, to the 3G, 3G, and 4. Not sure if they still do this, but if you're on AT&T press *639# and call, you'll see if you qualify for an early iPhone upgrade

I usually skip the "s" models when upgrading.

yea, im most likely skipping honestly. since i have to pay full price regardless might as well get great use out of my 5 and wait til the 6.

Getting the "s" model is always the improved model.

So people copping the non-s model, will most likely see a phone with the same form factor but with better specs.

ie. iphone 3gs, 4s, and probably 5s.

if i were you, i'd do some HARD research about those upgrade programs. from my readings, it ultimately is a scam. it won't appear that way on the surface tho...

idk what difference is it me paying 325 every year for an iPhone? and I`m confused do you HAVE to trade in your phone to do the 1 yr joint? I dont see it written consistently for the Verizon plan.

oh ok, well looks like you might be losing out on 100 bucks if you have a 16gb.

You can pay 650 + tax in store and sell your old one on Ebay for lets say 400 + fees OR you can pay 350+ tax every year to get a new one and trade in your old one and not have to worry about fees.

True but I always had the non letter version if iPhone. 4 then droid then the 5. The letter version is just a way to hold ppls attention until the next number device.

The VZW upgrade program is a complete scam, it Costs so much extra you'd be better off selling your phone every yr n paying retail for a new one.

There was an article that compared T-Mobile, At&t and Verizon's upgrade programs when I find it I'll add the link.

so you lose money. and this doesn't even include the recently increased costs of insurance.


essentially, you are paying high rates to buy a phone at a lower price, but instead of buying you are leasing the phone at the full price, while still paying the high monthly rate that subsidizes buying phones.


hence the scam.

the absolute best way to get the new iPhone every year is basically what I'm going to do:

2013: Use upgrade to buy new iPhone:$250

2014: sell iPhone OK aftermarket for around $450. Buy newest one outright at $700. End up paying around $250 out of pocket.

2015: use upgrade to buy phone for $200. Sell old iPhone for $450. Pocket $250. Pocket money or use towards new iPhone in 2016

Repeat

Of course the prices are a rough estimating and assuming iphones keep this trend of having a high resale value. But you get the idea.

Seriously, when have these phone companies ever had the consumers best interests at heart.

I haven't even looked into the annual upgrade programs because I know phone companies won't implement something they don't benefit from. Basically, expect your bill to be $20-$30 higher a month all so you can have the latest phone. Right now, the verizon 5 I have was bought off contract to keep my unlimited data, and when the 6 drops I'll cop that off contract too to keep my unlimited. I'll be damned if I have a LTE phone with a data cap.

Yeah, I just got a text saying I can upgrade now. My 4S is totally fine so I'm going to wait and see what happens.

In the UK I usually have to pay about $80 and I can get straight on to a 2 year deal with the latest one - then sell my old one for about $150.

yea i have the nexus for vzw and they dropped the ball on that. been with them for 11 yrs...should be moving to tmobile in a few weeks. waiting on unlocked moto x via google store to drop. save this cash on my plan long term

Agreed, MBP owner here and I love it, but for my phone needs I'll stick with android. Had the OG iPhone but once I made the switch I can't go back IMO.

These dummies in my class were talking about how the 5 wasn't much different from the 4. The change in design was more drastic than the differences in previous models. Then they talk about buying phones that look the same as the prior models. Yeah the note 2's design is so completely different from the note 1. Smh.
