Apple's September 12 invite hints at iPhone 5. Upgrade to iOS 6 now.

You know what they should do... what phone carriers do in Europe.

If you buy the phone outright for the $900 the phone company doesn't get hit with the subsidized charge and our bill should be like $10 - $20 a month.

I remember some NT'er from Europe said that their phone bills is $10 a month with everything unlimited, but they have to buy the phone outright for like $800.

Before today I was heavily leaning towards the iPhone 5 when my contract is up in February, but after the announcements earlier, and doing some research on the S3, I think it's probably best to just stay with android this go round and just cop the new iPod

I wish. I would have no problem paying 800-900 for a phone instead of paying 300 upfront and the 100 every month for 2 years :smh:

Yeah that black is crazy sexy. I'm just not a fan of iOS, haven't tried any of the more recent versions though.
I'm going to have to try out iOS6 before I decide to buy this or not.

Timeout, dudes really saying Apple bit Nokia?

I'll give you the similarities, but are we going to act like this new Nano isn't the old nano with the ipod touch's face on it?

The new nano ipod fails

Most people use it for gym, should have kept same clip design and just added blu tooth

Only difference is that the iphone doesn't have a monthly bill attached.

why can't you do that now? You can buy the 4/4S unlocked from apple and then just get the plan for it separately even though the carriers will not want you to do that but there are ways like with T-mobile and if you can smooth talk AT&T representatives. The 5 will be available unlocked starting from like $649 soon after the official launch date.

Im in europe and that comes out to be much cheaper especially if you resell your phone after. So, lets say you buy the phone for 800, pay 10-20 a month then resell it for like ~400 in 2 years. essentially you only spent 880 total. While in the US you are paying $2120 (-400$ if you resell). Do the math. Subsidized phones are actually more expensive down the line.

I wish we had that option in the states.

Because in the US, prices on plans are set in stone. It makes no difference what you pay for the phone. If I were to go get an iPhone for $900, I'd still have to pay someone $80 a month for service.

It ain't as sweet over here as it is for ya'll
