Are OG X's still good to ball in?

I had a pair of OG X Shadows when i was a kid and i loved them to death, but i was disappointed in the comfort in the retros. So im thinking about buying mesome OGs. Are they still good to wear.... maybe in?

I wouldnt play ball in any original release Air Jordan.

P.S. I love the X, but lord have mercy those elastic bands make them SOOOO tight. Do they ever loosen or will they always be that tight? i've only wornmine once.

why would you want to ball in them, get some kobe IV or HD's.
