Are the Columbia Xi suppossed to be like this? (pics included)

Ok i saw this pic in one of NT members collections. Isnt there supposed to be more spacing between the 2 and the 3? Could these be B grades? Let me know.

I know my columbias, other than them being beat, there is nothing wrong with them.
 
how can you tell b-grades from fakes? (not implying that this pair is either)
 
yea i agree, there doesnt look to be much of a space between the 2 and 3..just my input though
 
the space has become smaller over the years due to age, stretching and relaxing of the black elastic part the white print is on. just my .02
