I saw this listing on eBay, which is pretty steep, but I was curious if these are wearable for casual use? It’s tempting because a lot of people say that the OG 14’s as far as step in comfort is night and day in comparison to the retros. Thanks in advance to whoever answers.

Yes and no.

Yes because the midsole is phylon and won't ever crumble. No because there's a chance for sole separation, and the zoom units wont last long, and thats if they're not already dead.

Do it, they'll still be better than ANY retro XIV

Idiots used to complain about the midsole creasing, but it was because the phylon was so soft.

Mine were wearable. I sold them about a year ago. Only issue was the paint/glue was sticky. I had the playoffs black/red if this helps.

my og’s from 99 are fine. no sole separation or crumbling

all depends how they were stored.

my heel tabs arent even yellowed.

silica packets all the way homeboys

Just curious, how is the step in comfort on your OG’s? Like, how is the responsiveness of the zoom air?

My OG last shots are still definitely wearable. Actually wore them when I picked up the retro. As long as they were stored properly, they will be good. No separation and zoom is still very plush. 👍

You could actually buy fugazi Zoom replacements online and reglue soles with a heat-gun and barge cement (after sanding down the OG 1990s glue). Would actually not be too difficult to restore these with a little work.

But are the Fugazi units articulated?

The OG 14, and 13, had articulated zoom units in the forefoot, so they couldn't be replaced by a standard one.
