Yes, to all you thirsty NTers for Ohio news, we are back at it again. But it is still terrible news.
The 38 year old US soldier blamed for killing 16 Afghan civilians is apparently from Norwood, a city within the Cincinnati area and lived in Columbus for a number of years. This shocking news hits close to home, because I know people who went to the same college he attended (Mount St. Joseph) and I know good people who work at that school. Just thinking that a man from the area committed an internationally-known overseas crime is shocking to me.
I believe we are at overwhelming pressure to withdraw ASAP. Hamid Karzai has said relations have "reached the end of the rope." We have seen too much bloodshed, and we have obviously failed our mission in that theater. We will be seeing Taliban in power again soon.
