I would say a large part of the HK population doesn’t consider themselves part of mainland China which is ultimately what they’re fighting for

The HK protest is not against police brutality. The police brutality cases are the results of the protest against the overreach of the CCP.
In the US, the police brutality is a result of systemic racism.
Most posters on here are more against the CCP than anything else.
The two cases are fundamentally different.

Its not a situation where if we're supporting one cause, that we're opposed to the other. Which is what you're making it seem like.
You're comparing apples to oranges. Imo police brutality is the least of concerns in hk at the moment.

I used to have fun visiting nyc for a weekend of partying but...
Life stages matter.....which night life is no longer a part of mine - can't even claim "hyung" status at this point- washed ahjussi for sure
and truly most fun and cool and tech and futuristic things anywhere in the world is just better...it's always hit me when returning and driving out of LAX...it's like....what??
