Trying to order these, i wear an 8-8.5 (in nikes men) i know theyre a womens color way so do i go up 1.5 sizes and get the 9.5 or do asics do things differently?

I'd just wait it out. I think it shouldn't be too hard to get. $220 is already pretty low for resale now seeing as how TGWO released it first. I think the prices will come down after the global release so even if you strike out, it won't be too bad. Patience saves pockets.

Women's shoes usually fit more narrow. The 9.5 will fit more like an 8 unless you have wide feet
