I don't agree with this. Y'all can boycott these stores, refuse to spend your money there, and let it be known on social media. UK people recently did it for the opening of Size? Manchester (Size? wanted to sell supposedly deadstock - as in sold out - sneakers for outrageous prices and their customers informed them that if the shoes weren't priced at MSRP, they would lose their clientele). The issue here is that many people on this side of the pond would rather have a complete collection and get shafted in the process. That's why I LOL every time somebody utters/types "sneaker community."
Personally, I just wanted 3 out of the 12 that are coming out, and the only shoe I was expecting to pay above retail for was the AFEW because their release has been wished by many for a number of years. However, given how the Packer release has been handled by a number of retailers, it looks like I'll just stay on the sidelines and observe the madness.
I'm picking up my pair tomorrow from Fedex. I'll let you know

I am sorry but in the states, we do not really have that sense of community so yeah "sneaker community" thing is indeed complete bs. Sadly, boycot wont happen. A few people will tweet asics and do some lil cute stuffs but nothing will change. Threatening shts for not selling at MSRP? I saw some people trying to do it on ShoePalace that is notorious for selling heats for above MSRP. Maybe a few people joined it but nothing happened. Unfortunately, socialism is not something thats well developed over here.

I actually don't like the Gel Sights at all.. Sold my wcp for retail with the swiftness.. Great cw but model just ain't for me. Also funny how bait held a raffle for those ugly white leather ones.. Bet nobody even signed up.

See this is how a store release should be...this looks like an actual party, celebrating the release of the shoe. Over here all you get is people from the line and the store grilling you while you wait outside for hours cold and hungry, watching that same group of resellers leave the store with another pair of shoes for the 3rd time
