AT&T early termination question.

Lets say I have a smartphone on a AT&T plan.  Can I downgrade to a basic phone and remove the data service from the plan to lower the ETF?

The ETF is $325 for smartphones and $150 for basic phones.

No, the ETF is based on whatever phone bought when you signed the contract.

If you buy a new dumbphone tomorrow then the ETF would go down but they ain't going to change one that's all ready there.
